Oticon announced the expansion of the More device range at the end of February with two new Behind The Ear (BTE) hearing aid models. The addition of two new miniBTE solutions gives us the ability to meet the diverse needs and preferences of more people with the superior sound quality of Oticon More. It means that there is now a solution on the More platform for people who just weren't suitable for the receiver in the ear hearing aids.

The two new discreet miniBTEs will offer the superior sound quality of Oticon More and the option of rechargeable or non-rechargeable styles. The miniBTE R uses Oticon's proven reliable lithium-ion batteries for a full day of battery life, including streaming, after just 3.5 hours of charging. The miniBTE T uses traditional disposable zinc air batteries.

Hands-Free Phone Call Capability

Users of Oticon hearing aids built on the Polaris platform can now enjoy hands-free communication using their iPhone and iPad. Oticon More hearing aids will now support the new two-way, hands-free communication provided by Apple. The hearing aids can be used as a headset so you can speak hands-free on either phone or video calls. It means that you can speak to the people you love while still being able to do your daily tasks.

The 2-way hands-free communication is available for existing Oticon More hearing aids via a firmware update made by the hearing care professional. Oticon More devices are also compatible with the new Android™ protocol for Audio Streaming for Hearing Aids (ASHA), making it possible to stream directly from select Android mobile devices.
